The Nabat Anointing by Prophet Shepherd Bushiri

When God delivered the Israelites, He did so in ranks. (Exodus 13). He did not liberate them all in one go, but instead, He liberated His people periodically. In the same manner, when God calls man to do His bidding, He does so in ranks. The bible enunciates that some were called to be Apostles, some prophets, others evangelists, pastors and teachers. Each calling carries with it a differing purpose and responsibility.

There is a certain type of anointing, known as the Nabat Anointing. It’s primitive root meaning is, “To scan or to look at something intently and regard it with pleasure, favor or care.” It can also be explained as, “Looking upon something excitedly.”

The bible elaborates this said anointing when it communicates that when the Israelites would look up to a certain bronze snake, they would escape death and be saved. It was not a mere gaze but rather, they would gaze at it with pleasure and honor.

Number 21:9,

“So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.”

In the same manner, in the gospel according to John, a similar scenario is pronounced,

John 3:14,
” and as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life.”

To look up to something means to regard that particular entity with high esteem. It is an act of respect and a demonstration of honor.

From the above scriptures, a fundamental truth is revealed. If you are able to look up to the anointed, the anointing will work for you.

Many Prophets do no go where they are tolerated but rather, where they are celebrated because one cannot receive blessings from an anointing that they don’t honor and respect.

The Nabat anointing brought healing to the Israelites who were bitten by snakes, it preserved their lives and in the same way, those who look up to Christ receive salvation.

There are benefits that come when you decide to celebrate those who are sent into your life by God. Restoration, restitution, deliverance, preservation as well as miracles. This nabat anointing acts as a channel, it paves a way through which blessings can enter into your life.

As believers in Christ you need to adopt an appreciative faith. The bible says, those who receive a Prophet in the name of a Prophet receive a prophetic reward. This verse defines Nabat explicitly.

The secret to benefitting from the anointing upon a man is to celebrate and honor that which they carry.
